Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter.
Björling is one of several famous swedish opera singers. His voice is among the best and the quality of the recordings is verry high. Today people belive everything with a ”DDD” label must be perfect quality, so little do they know. Some of the songs on this record is patriotic swedish songs which sounds quit silly today, they are recorded 1930-1953, but that doesn't really matter.
Not really my kind of music but to this lady I surrender, it's just to beautiful. Lovesongs all the way, not very interesting in a musical sense etc. but I like it anyway. She is a devastatingly beautiful woman also.
Caruso was the first opera singer to get rich from selling records. The recordings are between 1906-1920 and are of amazingly high quality. He is truly one of the great opera tenors.
This is her third album and she is better than ever! Lyrics, music and song in perfect harmony. The childlike face and the beautiful eyes conceal great depths of mind. She has also made two jazz records with Peter Nordal Trio. If you like jazz you will love them, if you don't listen to jazz they will make you start.
This is fun and heavy music! Swedish traditional folk music combined with really heavy guitars and drums. They come from my home town and are making themselves a name in country after country. If you are the slightest in to ”world” music this is for you.
A jazz singer trying out pop and doing very well. Pure pleasure to listen to! If you like this you should give her jazz records a chance to. She is a genuine Tolstoy, The Tolstoy was here great-grandfather (cool or what!).
This record is from 1973 and are in my opinion the best Tom Waits have done. Many simpel arrangements with only voice and piano, romatic songs and his whisky voice, it's beautiful! I have this record on vinyl as well as on CD, it's amazing how much better the vinyl sounds.
